Another Day

Good morning! Other than the multitudes of bugs outside, it is a beautiful day. I have onions on the stove sautéing in bacon grease waiting for heart to be added to them. Sounds really quite disgusting but it tastes rather good.
Pictures are cool so I thought I'd add a couple. Or so. This is my X-acto knife. Getting to acutlaly use it unsupervised is one of the perks of adulthood that I enjoy.
We had a busy day around here yesterday. Joanna left with Amena, Cedric and Seth between 9:00 and 9:30. Susan LaRose, Joseph’s kindergarten teacher, came over not long after they left with two bags of grain and one of alfalfa pellets. Joseph read her a couple of the books that he brought home at the end of the school year and she took with her six of the ten and will bring some replacements by sometime. It really is nice to know such nice people. It is also nice to build connections that last beyond the year that your child is in a particular class.
This is the cake that we ate most of last night. I like the shadows.
Lots of laundry was accomplished. There is more to do today, of course, that I will get to at some point. I got the hallway between the kitchen and library cleaned up. The buckets were cleaned and removed to the back room. They need to have a place in the basement but currently do not. I need to have room to have a few upstairs in a pantry but that has yet to happen. Someday.
This is the same cake but with flash. Pretty cool, eh?
Laura and Joseph and I collected glass and plastic bottles and took them to Stop n’Shop. We got a huge whopping amount of less than two dollars. That was pretty exciting. Our next stop was better.
We went to see Despicable Me 2 at the theater. It was Amena’s idea and it was a good one. Laura laughed more than Joseph did but Joseph enjoyed it. We all decided that once it comes out in DVD, we need to get it.
For supper we had three missionaries since one of them was transferred and no replacement for him materialized. We also had the kid who has been working with Paul. His name is Michael which Seth thought was pretty cool because his middle name is Michael. We had spaghetti, bread, and grilled broccoli with Zucchini Chocolate Orange cake for dessert. I was afraid for a while that there might not be enough food. I think that had Joanna returned with the minions earlier, there might not have been. Anyway, it turned out pretty well and there was enough food.
Amena lost her glasses on one of the rides at Six Flags. That’s not good. On the way home, they saw the scene of an accident. By the time they got there all they saw was a car that had been on fire. Amena said the back looked sort of okay but the front had nothing left but metal.
I don’t think there is much else to say about yesterday. Other than a few differences, today should be much like it.

Have a spectacular day!
