Joseph's Sixth Birthday Party

Joseph's birthday is August 22. As it fell on a Wednesday this year, a very busy Wednesday, we celebrated after church on August 26. Waiting those extra four days were torturous for him (I kind of felt the same way waiting for him to decide it was time to be born)! The long awaited day arrived, however, and Joseph had a good day. 

 



Joseph was combing Nick's hair.

The cake. Actually, two, but they kind of got melty and slid against the sides of the boxes. We all thought it would have worked well if he had been turning 8 instead of 6.

Want to know about the largish candles? I'd forgotten to get some birthday candles so we had to use what we had on hand. The large red one has three wicks so he got that and the three smaller ones.
